MEET THE CAST

  • RICH TOMKINSON

When I came up with the idea back in 2018 I could never envisage how big the show would get and how much money we would raise. Having been postponed in 2020 I am delighted that the show is now going ahead and our aim is to raise between £40,000-£50,000 for our three chosen charities. I could not do any of this without the help of the entire production team and I hope you, your friends and family have the most amazing night. Remember, dig deep so we can raise as much money as possible. It became very personal to me back in 2019 after the loss of my dad to Cancer on Christmas Day and this year we hope to smash the previous target.

  • ANTHONY HODGETTS

I’ve been best friends with Richard for nearly 40 years so in 2018 when I heard he had ‘an idea for a charity show’ I knew that one way or another I would get roped in! We really didn't know what reaction to expect for our first show but it turned into a remarkable experience that neither us nor the audiences will ever forget. This time around we all agreed that we should raise much needed funds for local groups that do so much to support the mental health and well-being of those close by and I’m proud to do whatever I can do to raise both money and awareness of these three inspirational charities.

  • LUCIE TALBOTT

This year joining The Full Monty on stage means more to me than ever. Since the last show, cancer has touched my family and friends deeply, changing how I see everything.

I'm used to being behind the scenes, but I'm stepping up this time to honor their incredible bravery and fight alongside them in the best way I know how—through performance.

It’s also about supporting those fantastic charities working hard against cancer and its support. For me, this is personal. It’s about showing love and respect for my loved ones, turning my feelings into action. Here’s to making a real difference together

  • KERRY JONES

After taking part in the colossal success that was The Real Full Monty - Stafford 2019 I was delighted to be asked to return for the next instalment.

Last time I performed for my family members with cancer. This year I will do it not only for them but also for my own personal battle with mental health issues. The fantastic local charities we are supporting deal with both these issues and more, so I am proud to be raising awareness for a second time.

    Bring it on x

  • BARRY DEAN

I first became aware of the project back in 2019 when a cycling friend and participant in the show that year asked me to help with some raffle prizes. Followed up with ‘it's your turn next’. Of course, I thought it would never happen again! Well, here I am, in my 70th year of life doing a fabulous service to raise money for some very worthwhile local causes. I have never performed on a theatre stage before but have addressed some quite sizeable audiences in my professional career, so I hope to draw on my experiences to help me through this huge challenge. Since joining I’ve now gained a new group of like-minded friends whom I’m sure I will now have lifelong. The camaraderie between everyone is just wonderful. We are all looking forward to the curtain going up in May and giving the audience a great show, raising a huge amount of money for charity. As the most senior member of the cast I’m sure you would forgive the odd late move or mistake during the routine but be sure to remember we will all be giving everything on all three nights.

  • TIM FARR

Having taken part in the 2019 show and thinking to myself: “Wow! This is an experience of a lifetime… probably never get a chance to do that again”, I find myself doing the exact same thing again this year only I’m a little heavier, a little older but a lot more handsome. On a serious note, I’m looking forward to performing with these great people again, it’s a fantastic opportunity to be return and this time for three amazing charities who need as much support as possible so they can continue doing the great work they do.

  • ALLY BELL

We lost our fabulous mum to ovarian cancer and my sister had (successfully) battled breast cancer whilst mum was poorly.

As a result, we discovered a significant family history and my risk (of a cancer diagnosis before age 40) was 85%. I chose to have a preventative double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery 12 years ago. After a long psychological recovery, I'm now fighting fit physically & mentally.

As soon as Kerry said: “we need more ladies !!”, I knew I wanted to do it. These are the experiences you don't say no to. I'm more than happy to do what I can & help raise much needed funds for these fantastic local charities.

  • ROSIE DARBY

After watching the show in 2019 I knew I needed to be a part of the next one.

Cancer and mental health affects many of us and we want to help each of you to reach out, get the support and get checked out and if that means taking our kit off then so be it!

As many of us struggle with our body image on a daily basis, doing the full monty for me is liberating and hopefully will help me gain some body confidence which plummeted after having my son 2 years ago. We're all beautiful in our own ways (that means all you men too, somehow we forget men have body issues too!

  • ALEX FARRUGIA

The reason I opted into the Real Full Monty is simple. People. Whether we know them (friends and family) or whether we don’t. Maybe we walk past them once in a lifetime and forget them 10 seconds later. 144 men per day are diagnosed with prostate cancer and an estimated one death every 45 seconds from this terrible burden. However, life-saving research is being done every day which means one more father gets to see his children grow up, one more brother gets to aid his parents through old age, and one more son has the honour of passing down his family name. That’s why we’re on stage tonight. Fighting for the sake of our brothers being able to live better lives, and performing in memory of the ones that didn’t get the chance.

  • MICHAEL HEFFERNAN

I signed up to do this in 2020 but Covid stopped us, pleased to say I’m still here for 2024! Why am I doing this? It’s obvious. I’ve always wanted to rip off a pair of Velcro trousers! It’s not the first time I’ve taken clothes off for charity, to do this on a big stage is my destiny. On a more serious note, we’re all here for the same reasons, to raise as much as we can for three amazing local charities. By the end of this I know I can stand up and be proud of that and for being a part of The Real Full Monty Stafford in 2024

  • MANDY DYCHE

I was put in touch with Rich as one of the charities supported this year is Stafford Samaritans.

As a Samaritan I know how important fundraising is and initially I bought two tickets and was positive I wouldn't be involved. Fast forward a couple of weeks and with zero body confidence I joined the group.

Who knew that supporting 3 incredible charities and the prospect of getting half naked on stage could be so much fun.

  • JACQUI FOETU-FOSTER

Watching the last show of its kind back in 2019 was a game changer for many people, not only for those real women and men who faced their body confidence issues and some of them, their battles with cancer but for those charities that benefited from the huge sums of money raised over those two stunningly entertaining nights. Us audience members were blown away, even moved to tears by those performances and I thought, ‘this girl needs to be part of that next time’ so, here I am! I’m 53 and thrilled to be (almost) baring it all as part of a fantastic troupe of brave women and men and of course, to show my brother Richard, the producer, how it’s really done! Dig deep, you lovelies!

  • MICHAEL PRITCHARD

I’m a musician and music producer from Birmingham. I have spent near enough my whole life doing what I’m passionate about, my music.

I’m a big believer in life. That is if an opportunity comes round that you know will never happen again then you’ve got to grab it by the horns and go for it, especially when it's for such good causes.

It’s good to give back and I’m so proud that I was asked to get involved in this madness which is going to be awsome.

  • KEVIN WALKER

Hi, I’m Kevin, 57 years old and married with 3 daughters. I haven't appeared on stage since primary school and only dance (very badly) on a night out, although I have done a Full Monty at a family party (best not go into details here). I’m doing the event because the first performance in 2019 deeply moved me and when I was presented with the opportunity to get involved I dived in head first. Please help support the 3 wonderful charities and give as much encouragement as possible for all the performers.

  • VICKI FOX

A while ago Rachael Olley told me about this show and how she'd rehearsed for it in 2020 but it was cancelled due to the pandemic. She mentioned it might be done again. I said I'd do it thinking that there would be loads wanting to do it so wouldn't have to, then ‘oops’ here I am! I volunteer for CCPA so the fact that we are raising money for them makes it very special to me. I can't give the time I'd like to the charity so this is my way of doing my bit.

Also I was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly three years ago and I now need to take medication that has changed my body significantly which has knocked my confidence, so doing this show is a huge challenge for me. However, it is nothing compared to the challenges that the kiddies with cancer and their families go through every single day and if this raises funds to make their lives a little bit nicer then I'm in!

  • KATIE GUDGER

I love life and endeavour to live it to the best using three simple rules.

Kind thoughts. Kind words. Kind deeds.

I was enrolled to participate in the 2020 show so I'm excited we're finally getting the opportunity to perform and raise much needed money for three outstanding local charities.

I have zero body confidence but I'm doing this mainly for my amazing Mum & family - we’ve got this!

  • ALEX WILLIAMS

I first became involved with The Full Monty back in 2020, like many of us, after inadvertently taking the King’s Shilling on a night out. It appealed to me for different reasons. Obviously, the willingness to help in any way I could but also the idea of learning something new and pushing my own “envelope”.

Well, Covid put paid to that first attempt and I must admit I nearly lost my nerve, plus life has been quite full on, leaving little time for anything else but when Richard sent the call out that the show was back on, and after much umm-ing and ah-ing I knew I had to honour my commitment. Not just because I said I would but because of the awareness that I or someone dear to me has been seriously affected by all the issues that we are raising funds to help.

Training to perform in the show has been fantastic, fun and enlightening (I don’t actually have two left feet!). I’m proud and honoured to be involved… still a bit terrified but proud and full of excited anticipation.

  • RACHAEL OLLEY

In 2002 my five-year-old son Connor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Three and a half very long years of gruelling cancer treatment ensued. Connor finally got his all-clear aged 13. Cancer robbed us of the joy of our newborn baby and many milestones for both of them BUT I feel extremely lucky that both of my boys have achieved so much despite these early challenges.

For nearly 20 years I have run the Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance which helps families with their journey after a childhood cancer diagnosis. I do so because I know how isolating that journey is and want to ease that burden, if only to let them know that they are not alone. I’m proud to say we do so much more than that though. Tonight’s show will really make a difference to families in crisis, so please cheer loudly and dig deep to support all of us who ‘dare to bare’.

  • RITA SHARMAN

I’m doing The Full Monty - Stafford in memory of family and friends who have lost their fight against cancer.

I’m also in it to support local charities raising much needed funds.

People close to me are still fighting daily to survive and are the strongest people I know. Mental health also close to my heart, being a sufferer for many years.

The impact on sufferers and those close to them destroys lives.

Our local Samaritans will also benefit from our fundraising.

  • HAYLEY WALL

I was approached by Lucie to take part in the show, and I just couldn't say no!

Nervous and terrified, come to mind right now! I'm definitely lacking in body confidence, so this is WAY out of my comfort zone. However, I am so proud to be part of this amazing group of people raising awareness (and money!) for 3 wonderful charities, that support people through their darkest days.

I am doing this for all the loved ones that have left us too soon, and for anyone that needs help and support to get them through their own personal challenges, whatever that may be in life. Keep talking! No-one has to face anything alone! We are in this together! Thank you for your support. Love H x

  • DONNA WHITELEY

So there I was, innocently scrolling Facebook when I saw a friends post begging for more women to sign up. I impulsively raised my digital hand online, and here I am! I haven’t looked back or regretted the decision either.

To be able to support and shine a light on three incredible local charities is fantastic. To some it may not seem like a big deal, just a little dance and a flash. But this is so much bigger, I suffer with chronic depression and anxiety. I struggle day to day, but I’m also healing. Meeting this amazing group of seemingly ordinary people, has already changed my life for the better. They’re family now, and this journey is going to be a wild one!

Each of us have, at some point, been affected (either directly or through loved ones) by the very ailments these charities provide support for. I’ve had friends rely heavily on the support for child bereavement during their darkest hours, friends who reached out to CCPA to help their children escape the cruel reality of cancer through support/activities/day trips and all sorts of magic. And the Samaritans, on a personal level can hand on heart say I would have lost friends, had it not been for this amazing charity. They quite literally save lives. And I am so very proud of all of these charities, I can’t wait to dance my way so far out of my comfort zone, and take my kit off to help raise a whole bunch of money for them all!!!
