SUPPORTING THREE STAFFORD BASED CHARITIES

CHILDHOOD CANCER PARENTS ALLIANCE

Every day in the UK, 10 families are told their child has cancer.

Though 8 of these children will survive, the fight for their survival tests families to their limits – physically, emotionally, socially and financially.  For two in ten families the search for cure will end in the devastating loss of their beloved child.

The Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance (CCPA) is united in helping families fight Childhood and Adolescent Cancer across the UK

Together with over 30 member organisations we are building a bright future for all families in the UK affected by childhood or adolescent cancer.

CCPA works directly with Staffordshire based families whose children, teenagers and young adults have a cancer diagnosis and are either undergoing or have received treatment at Stoke Royal Hospital.

We are also a national representative voice, working with local, regional, national and international agencies.  We promote awareness, support, research and advocacy that focuses fully on the best interests of children, teenagers, young adults and their families.

A Child Of Mine is here after the most unimaginable loss, after a baby or child has died. We are here to support families with emotional support, practical information and guidance. We also offer training and education to healthcare professionals from a parent’s perspective.

Our aim is to reach every bereaved parent and their families in the UK and give them access to as many practical resources as possible after the death of a child.

A Child Of Mine aims to be recognised as the UK's leading resource centre for child death, where families can find all the practical and emotional resources they may need, whether that is for local support or ideas for memorial keepsakes.

Information will be accurate, high quality and updated on a regular basis.

A Child Of Mine wants to work in partnership with healthcare professionals to improve how they deliver their bereavement services in the future.

A Child Of Mine wants to develop and deliver more direct services to families following the death of a child.
